Also, that Facu Regalia will race in the Top Race V6 series this year. That series is one-make that tries to difference brands by silhouette manners in the grilles and lamps only.

Shame that Regalia could find sponsors easier to be in local series than racing abroad as he wanted. Is a big problem in Argentinian motorsport, how Touring Cars had modelled the minds of racing drivers and even sponsors to remain at home.

Even if motorsport is less popular than decades ago, there's dozens of professional drivers. There's plenty of sponsors that pay to appear in cars (TC and TN have especially ugly liveries).

The TC race at VIdema on February 21 had a 3.1 rating.
Last year, the Super TC2000 season finale on 20 December got a 2.6 rating.
The TC season finale got a 5.3 rating.
The Top Race season finale got a 1.8 rating.

Interesting to hear about this. Why not try different venues? They visited Chile not too long ago, why not then visit Brazil, or Colombia, or even that new track in Peru? I could only imagine it would be a budget issue, but I'm sure bringing more fans into the sport is the highest priority always. Also, why doesn't the Super TC2000 race at Potrero de los Funes? It's one of my favorite track (perhaps my favorite South American track). They should have a signature event there.

Argentine sponsors will only want to race in Argentina. Of course there are some internatinal and regional companies. But there is no interest from Argentine motorsport in Chile. Colombia and Perú are too far away.

Circuits are supported or not by province governors. They decide if spend public funds to bring a race or not.

The Super TC2000 should return to Uruguay. But that will only phappen if local governments spend money on it.

So it sounds like the series is in a bit of an ongoing crisis at the moment as I'm sure not all of the provience governors enjoy motorsports. Shame as it such an incredible series to watch.

And yes, a Super TC2000 round would be great in Uruguay I feel. Seems like Punta del Este has been a success for Formula E, so why not try it out for Super TC too? Maybe join the event and include both series on the same weekend schedule. Now that would be very cool to see.

Formula E won't be back to Punta del Este.

I think that IndyCar or FIA Rallycross should be considered. Anyway, our national government won't spend a penny on that.

So the first round will be at the Trelew track. Last time this circuit held a Super TC2000 event was back in 2011. It'll be interesting to see how things will play out for this first round.

Also, all the 2016 cars were launched yesterday at the Salon del Club Hipico Argentino, and I noticed FIAT wasn't there with their car, so that rumour of them quiting I guess was true. Shame as I really liked the way those FIATs looked. Anyways, it seems like the first round will be an interesting one. I'm excited.

Yup! Just saw that! I'm excited to see. Most of these races are uploaded to YT very quickly. Saw most of the 2015 races on there.

Well what I do is I just put the track name with super tc2000 on the side, click on the search button and they usually pop up. Now be careful with what videos you pick because there is also development championship called TC2000 and they race almost the same cars, so make sure you pick the correct ones.

Also, check the upload dates. Usually different users upload the races a day after the event, heck sometimes on the same day. Just check the 2015 calendar and go one by one. Not all of them are uploaded on YT but you'll find a majority of them. Hope this helps.

Those Fiat drivers except Urcera are ridebuyers, I think.

Peugeot unfortunately won't have the traditional Le Mans livery this year:

Fabian Yannantuoni (Peugeot) - 9th in 2015, 11th in 2014.
Damian Fineschi (Peugeot) - 13th in 2014.

AgustÃ*n Canapino (Chevrolet) - 3rd in 2015, 5th in 2014.
Norberto Fontana (Chevrolet) - 3rd in 2014.
MatÃ*as Munoz Marchesi (Chevrolet) - 13th in 2015.

Leonel PernÃ*a (Renault) - 2nd in 2015, 2014 and 2013.
Emiliano Spataro (Renault) - 6th in 2015, 7th in 2014.
Christian Ledesma (Renault) - 10th in 2015, 12th in 2013.
Facundo Ardusso (Renault) - 11th in 2015, 4th in 2014, 3th in 2013.

Rafael Morgenstern (Toyota) - 5th in 2014 Top Race.

It might not have that Le Mans tribute livery but my goodness me that still looks very, very good! Also, I was seeing a few pictures and a video Super TC2000 posted on their facebook about Autodromo Mar y Valle (Trelew). It's a simple track but it looks very fast. I can't wait for the race!

I think those colors (Peugeot Sport) date back to their rally days in the early 80's even.

That's the non-Super championship.

Scalbi was 8th at the 2007 Italian F3 and 10th at the 2009 European F3 Open.

Next weekend, the Super TC2000 visits Rosario, with Argentine Rallycross as supporting series.

Making it more confusing, Super TC2000 used to be called TC2000 before the introduction of the 2.7l V8.
