CampDaddy1990 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
No TV for Bristol night race?

I have read on Wikipedia that there is a schedule conflict regarding the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. ESPN will be airing the Little League World Series at the time the race is going on, which means that the Sharpie 500 may be aired taped-delayed or not at all, run in the daytime, or moved to ESPN2.

Surely there must be something in the contract about showing all their races live in their entireity.

If the NFL have something about Heiding their games, sure there must be some anti-heidi clause in NASCAR's TV contracts.

F1 prolly doesn't because they cut off from one GP on the podium because the race overran and they wanted to show bloody Constipation Street!

Surely the Bristol night race (which I am going to in '08! yay) would rate higher than little league baseball?

That would be the biggest mistake of ESPN's life if they did that.

I assume in this case ESPN can either ween off the LLWS to either ESPN2, ESPN Classic, or even ESPN Deportes (which they use for UEFA Champions League when there are overlapping matches). They used ESPN 2 and ESPN Classic for the LLWS last year when they had 2 games at the same time. And besides, they can even hand off the LLWS to ABC. So other than ESPN, there are 4 other options they can use.

I think Bristol Night is safe.

It's 2007, I don't think any major international multi-outlet network would be so irresponsible to let a major sports event (i.e. NASCAR) go unbroadcasted, especially under contract. I can't remember the last time a NNC race went unshown nationally (because some local affiliates can also feel like they can prioritize whatever they want) without some major national news interrupting or weather problems, etc. At least not in the last 5 years.
