Meyrick up a tree

Firstly it's good news that both Andy and his dad Peter escaped from their two major shunts at Oulton last weekend. Now to the funny bit. Andy, having rolled over the tyre wall at Shell and ending up in the trees was approached by a marshal. Don't forget that Andy was hanging in the car by his belts and contemplating the damage to the - probably worth - £100,000 March 782 and the drop if the car fell out of the tree. Apparently the conversation went something like this. Marshal "You're Andy Meyrick aren't you?" Andy "Yes" Marshal "You used to do North West Formula Ford didn't you?" Andy "Yes" Marshal "We like our Formula Fords here at Oulton." Marshal continues "David Murphy is doing well this year isn't he?"  Believe me this is true, because I was told it was and I'm very gullible. |
