the former lola was already really close to GP2 pace; IRCC the record with this car at fuji was already near the 1:25.

Indeed, good result from Benoit, maybe we'll see him return to the form we all know he has in him.

Some Youtube videos from pre-season testing at Fuji before the snow came.
Circuit Safari -- in between sessions, two tour busses take to the track with media and VIP's to watch the cars run around them -- quite interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7OMiz_PVOg Great video of the cars going by from inside the tour bus all while it's snowing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE_bkcuM ... re=related |

This is a test photo of FN09.
A red light on the roll bar displays the operation situation of the brake. The light under that displays the operation situation of the accelerator. It is uncertain when these lights are introduced into the race. http://www1.as-web.jp/photonews/info.php?c_id=4&no=2478 |

I used to follow FNippon in the 90's but haven't for a few years now.
Would they be a lot better off running GP2 machinery (even the old ones if they had bought them instead of the meaningless GP2 Asia happening), as European drivers might be more motivated to race there in order to provide themselves in machinery that is universally known in Europe? Or if grids continue to decline will they need to downgrade, e.g. WSR type machinery? I guess whatever is used needs to be acceptable to Toyota and Honda, which is a limitation. |

FN was ever the last door to the F1.
However, the position is taken by GP2 and Euro F3 now. Therefore JRP is going to do FN for the original race series independent of F1 such as IRL. They think FN to be not the middle formula but a top category. However, the popularity of FN continues falling. The reason is because the Japanese fan watches of higher quality F1 and IRL. The significance of existence of FN is asked. |

Yes I think Benoit needed that result as his big early season points lead was wiped out by Duval.
