So you're saying it's Luke Youlden peckstar?

The deal apparently hinged on keeping a key employee within the PWR group. Somehow the PWR equipe thought that they could keep the SuperCheap deal with this key person no longer employed by that business.

So Mr Thorn put the PWR operation on notice for breach of contract (as reported in AA a few weeks ago)

It is the PWR side that seems to have breached the deal, not the SuperCheap mob....

I'm confused GTR - only 1 Britek entry?
And Matty White still in the series?
And Steve Ellery in the #88 car?
And so much movement but no seat for Dean Canto? - I'm sad.

Murf spent plenty of time as #2 at HRT, I am sure there are no future plans to become #3.
or skaife could have plans to step down going on his recent form.

Why would Britek only run one car in 2006?? Sounds interesting, but not really likely, surely

Surely Murf's deal would hedge on having the right sponsor package, and if the sponsor package leaves, then what is the driver to do?

It seems a lot of promises have been broken from what the rumour mill says and as such, the damage may need a lot more than a box of Band-Aids.

It's not an envious situation to find oneself as a team owner.

Britek may or may not have a choice, if their franchise is outside the top 32, and the view from on high in TEGA-land is that the worst 2 franchise licence slots will be resumed by that organisation (haha) then the IMS and Romano slots are the ones most likely to go.

The team doesnt have a lot of say in that.

Thats not to say that the new domicile for Mr White may not include a Britek involvement for car preparation.... my crystal ball aint that good.....

If Murph was leaving PWR, wouldn't his next home be likely to be back with his Dad at Tasman? Their cars certainly seem to be good enough recently.... (dare I say maybe better than what he is in now).

I hope we see Bargwanna to #4, Ingall #1 (9), Steve Johnson to #88, Will Davison to #10, Ellery to #5, and Dean Canto to #17. Moving good drivers to the better Ford teams makes a lot of sense.

At an XR/FPV gathering in Newcastle over the weekend Jimmy Stone mentioned that he had a keen eye for Cam McC!!! But he also mentioned not to read anything into that.

Castrol's deal was intrinsically linked to SuperCheap... with SuperCheap more than likely gone... there is no Castrol cash either....

Always had trouble buying this line GTR - please a guesstimate of the $s (in toto & as a %) Castrol put in to the SuperCheap sponsorship & a comparison with last season.

That doesn't make sense because if you want 16 two-car teams, cutting a funded two-car team in half for the hell of it is not going to help! PMM/TKR are never going to be one team so they have to accept that as a pseudo two-car team, and thus these licenses should be taken back from Perkins land... Perhaps two Auto-barn liveried cars can be prepared from there... And hey presto 16 2-car team grid.

Cutting Britek in half doesn't half them get 16 2-car team grid, unless they suspect that Britek will shell out to buy one of the remaining licenses from somewhere else.

The IMS franchise Britek currently uses is on lease... it is also outside the top 30 cars in the series, which means the Kelvinmonster will want it explained as to how performances shall improve... or TEGA will make an offer that the franchise owner cant refuse.

If you presume that all 34 franchise licence slots are still in play, Mr Romano seems the most logical for the Wills/PCR opportunity.... especially since Perkins seems only to be running 2 cars, not 4 in season 2006...

All looks quiet possible to me and some whispers around the paddock have some as more likely than others. Time will tell. Can anyone remember back when there was no silly season it wasn't that long ago.
