MCWB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The initial contact is 100% Rosberg's fault (brake issues notwithstanding). Hamilton was in front then Rosberg drove into him and drove him off the track. Apparently Rosberg was "surprised that Lewis turned in"... not exactly sure where he thought Hamilton was going to go. Looks like Nico tried to play the tough guy and got pantsed!

Coming back onto the track the small touch is surely Hamilton's fault, but I'm not sure it did anything to Nico's car as the front wing was already hanging off!

Toto Wolff is saying it's a brake by wire failure and the Sky team just showed him the footage, suggesting Nico tried to run Lewis wide.

If Rosberg had braking issues then fine, it's nobodies fault. You can't take into account exactly what a faulty system will do. But it seems like a convenient excuse.

Now it looks as if Lewis overtook Rosberg's damaged car under the yellow.

Smart move by Rosberg that Just had bad results. Just like when they both wrecked out, it benefits Rosberg more than hurts him, and he has to show Hamilton he's not gonna back down like last years. Its irritating that when Hamilton pushes Rosberg off like in Canada opening lap, he luckily gets away with it unscathed. When Rosberg does it both times now he's had a bad ending. He's still learning how to play the bully role Hamilton plays so well I guess lol.

If Rosberg had settled for 2nd, that would have benefited him a lot more than finishing 4th.

I really wanted Nico to win, but he did that to himself. But I don't blame him for trying the late brake defense. Lewis should thank the DRS gods as otherwise he couldn't have made that pass. Kudos to Button for his finish.

I absolutely agree. Having been to Monza a few times in the past few years, the lorry whizzes by trying for the track record, very few drivers looking at the crowd, and being interviewed for TV as well. Waste of time. As for Hamilton playing with his phone and headphones while on the truck today, and hiding behind the cab, says it all really..

Just an intriguing F1 season. GBR coming up -
perfect timing to see if Hamilton can win at home.
Way to go Haas and Max V. ! I appreciate Nico
being honest with his explanation in post race interview.

I don't think those were the two options he was considering. It was either don't let Hamilton by and win or if I finish fourth, Hamilton will finish fifth or worse.

Rosberg was clearly wrong in this case, but I would be royally ****ed off if he get's a penalty for this one while all of Hamilton's actions have gone unpenalized as "that's racing".

How many times has Hamilton forced Rosberg off track before?

Rubbish. Rosberg made no attempt at the corner, rammed him and caused the crash and then left Ham no room to return to the track.

That result was bound to bring the Hamilton Haters out, even if they have to be a bit imaginative to find something to criticise. Lewis Hamilton is a hard racer (and occasionally pushes the limits a touch too much). Rosberg just isn't out of the same mould, but he tries to be a hard racer sometimes and just makes himself look stupid. Today it was just a blatant ram-him-off-the-road move. Not far short of Senna-Prost-Japan II. Actually pretty much on a par with Prost-Senna-Japan I.

I didn't see the driver parade today, but I have been unimpressed with what I have seen before. Firstly, the drivers are there to wave to the crowd and that's what they should be doing, not doing interviews and chatting amongst themselves. Secondly, the TV crews shouldn't even be on the truck. Come on Bernie, this is where you could do something useful!

I was glad to see the FIA kept the yellow kerbs and didn't bow to pressure. Lo and behold, the drivers managed to stay off them in the race.

I agree 100%, once the drivers actually understood the consequences of going onto the kerbs everything worked out rather well!

Senna did not try to ram Prost off the track in 1990.

As for today, Rosberg is probably more at fault, but it is an undeniable fact that Hamilton has done that to Rosberg many times, and Rosberg has had to go off the track in order to avoid a collision. And in my honest opinion, Hamilton could have avoided the collision today without going off the the track. Was he obliged to? No. But he could have, unlike in most instances where he was doing the pushing and shoving.
I too have the feeling that Rosberg is trying to learn how to be a hard racer and because of the past few years, psychologically he is at a disadvantage.
