AUTOSPORT -LETTER

Just read a nice letter in Autosport from a new marshal. Really nice for the lads and lassies to receive such nice feedback.

Well any good feedback is richly deserved, I for one have been made to feel very welcome, almost part of the family.

I think the "smartarse" was directed at self rather than anyone else. Could be wrong, but that's how I read it. No offence intended by poster, I believe.

Was it not NewYankee who was trying to buy a second-hand copy of 50 Years of Motorsport Marshalling?

Chris Hobson describes himself as a Yorkshireman - a Scot with all the charity taken out of him. I am renowned as a Scottish Cost Accountant, the tight Treasurer for the Marshals' Club. However, I think NewYankee could give us both lessons!!!

George - please keep your tight trousers to yourself. You are making my eyes water thinking about it!

To get the facts correct- A Yorkshireman is a Scotsman with all the GENEROSITY squeezed out of him! I actually do believe in charity - especially when it starts at home and is heading in my direction.
