In front of the Becketts stand for example there was an open gate with a single rail barrier infront of it, the marshals post some way off.

That wasn't the only easy access point around Becketts, we(marshals), and the security guards at the check point advised several people/groups "to be on there way" when they thought that the intervention vehicle access points were a smashing, unhindered place to get a closer view.
