TRAQ MOTORSPORT should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
tips needed for go kart business

Hi guys

Just wondering if you could help me out on a few things.
Am giving a helping hand at my local track, there located in London Croydon and go by a few names but the primary one is traq activity centre. They have the full works when it comes to arrive and drive, Grand prix and Endurance racing using karts, mini motos and quad bike's. The problem is there not pulling in the crowds I think they deserve, weekends are not too bad but during weekdays it's like a ghost town. One of the major reasons due to the lack of customers I think is down to lack of local advertising. There down a dead end road, without much signs on the main street so it's not a very easy place to find. Am looking at making a fairly quick questionnaire for customers, the questionnaire is really just to get an idea how customers found out about track and what would they like to see improved. this just to get an idea on what needs improving and how. but am lost for questions, so if anyone can give me any tips on advertising or ideas about the questionnaire I would be very grateful.
Another thing am hoping to get approved with the manager is some specials offers like arrive and drive for 30mins or more and get 10 mins free, or arrive and drive with 5 or more people with one person going for free. This will only be available during the weekdays. But what you guys think?
Next pointer. They don't have a lap timing system or POS like most tracks do, due to lack of funds so most is done by hand (not the lap timing but taking the handling of the funds etc) and I heard these system run in excess of £3000! can these systems be pieced together?
Final: they have around 2-3 websites but there main one www.quadbikeracing.com is one I have access to and the which I can edit. Editing is done via online web building software, and without some plug-in's (you have to pay for additional plug-in's) I can't do much other then plain text editing or adding pictures. At the moment the site is not bad but could do with some editing and one thing I think it needs is a good logo, Any one got any ideas on logo design?

Any tips or ideas would be really appreciated

Cheers

I'd say looking at the track they need to maybe try and extend it or get a few more turns in 'cos basically its an oval with a quick chicane.

Not sure what the point of your post is really, its bordering on advertising but if it promotes some useful discussion rather than turns into an advert for Traq then it can stay open as a thread.

Yeh I think the problem is they are trying to do too many things on the site. If they could maybe consolidate three of those four tracks into one big one and a mini one then it could be awesome. As it is the layout looks a tad dull.

To me the post is more a cry for help but I can see how it can be construed as advertising.

That said it was made four months ago... so they might never come back anyway.
