Experienced Marshals Needed
Just spotted the following advert in the Autosport classifieds:
"We are looking for experienced marshals to assist us at the British International Motor Show at Excel (Docklands) from 22nd July to 3rd August. Excellent rates of pay. Local accomodation possible. Contact andyackerley@track-work.co.uk or 07976433015." Thought some of you out there might be interested, sounds like a possibly interesting week. JEP |

It'll be for the motor show. They have a rally-cross type demo thing running whilst the show is on.

It opens at 10am and closes at 8-30 pm although we have always managed to rotate the marshals so that a couple always leave earlier and arrive later.
We have two areas to cover, Taster Test Drive where show visitors are allowed accompanied drives around a course situated within the ExCel estate and the Heritage Parade where various exotica is demonstrated five times a day on a short course again within the confines of the ExCeL estate. |

I noticed that advert, I'd only been thinking about Andy Ackerley recently.
I can remember him racing in the Champion of Brands FF series, always had black Ray which contrasted really well with his white Simpson Bandit crash helmet. As a teenager I thought that was really cool. Also remember him as a bit of a joker, so you could be in for a fun day! |
