The side-pod of his car was damaged and he wasn't doing a lot at the back of the field. Save the engine and the gearbox.

I struggle with this, at a loose end this weekend, I fell asleep after about 10 laps, I dont get it, why do people rave about this so much, what am I missing?

Isn't this supposed to be close, fun, exciting? sorry guys but I turned off.

Now you're finding out the reason why those many "new" fans from America are now tuning out. When it starts being predictable, it stops being interesting. The same guys keep winning, and the rest just can't manage a good fight, only the driver and sport fans will populate, leaving many others feeling unsatisfied.

But the "true believers", well what can you say...

That was very poor. Boring race.
No fight, too much DRS.
Not even light rain could save that race.


And flares are stupid and dangerous.
I think this was prohibited?

From 2014 to 2016 yes but from 2017 onwards, it was just Hamilton.

well after todays BTCC racing and the formula E farce this was emensely entertaining but not a classic i would agree

It needed more of it....

It did need more but what there was got drivers/teams in a bit of a quandary as to which tyres to use, with those pitting choosing the softs, rather than inters because of the lack of rain, while others decided to remain out on track and wait for the rain to go.

Perez is allowed to fight but just not good enough! Nobody is in equal cars
The strange thing is that Checo seemed to be (nearly) good enough earlier in the season but has fallen away badly. Max is supreme in a car which he knows can win him every race and he knows full well that in a straight fight there is now no real competition from his teammate and Checo is unlikely to push it anyway as he wants to stay in F1 for another season or two. If RBR replace him it's game over.
