They have few options left, they can't flounder around the pack with LDM. I'd say by this stage it's pretty clear their developed package contains flaws, either with the designs themselves or with the understanding of how to make them work.

For those that won't be clicking, basically, WR are exploring their options with regards to purchasing IP to make someone else's uprights. PRA being one team they've spoken to.

Apparently they're some parts that were drawn up back in the MB days, and only recently made it to the CNC machine.

The whole Walkinshaw PRA thing is being made out to look like a Ford alliance from what I have seen today, all it is, is componentry. Given what Mr bigmouth Courtney had to say about PRA in 15 I find an alliance unlikely while they are Ford, Holden

Why do you think 2 year old comments hold any relevance or weight in current agreements or deals? Whincup once said his worst ever job was driving Holdens, seems they got over that throwaway line pretty quick.
