BSB.

It's all over for another year, not a bad final race of the season. Such a shame Kiyo suffered the injury.

Also a shame that Gowland fell on first lap of Supersport finale.

Utter waste of my time going there to be honest, will not be doing it again.

Bloody nightmare getting in and out.

Still Palmer needs to fund Jolyon somehow eh.

Sounds like you had a frustrating day out last weekend chunder. The wind, low temps and rain reminded me of Silverstone in April, makes me shiver thinking about it. Still, fair play for sticking it out, there have been a few rounds like that this year; Cadwell looked awful for the fans.

So why did Brookes go of the boil towards the end - trying to hard/bike not up to it?
Waters did ok in the latter part of the season on the Suzuki - will he keep his ride? I presume Hopkins will get the boot...
Shakey was awesome all year thoroughly deserved his 4th BSB crown!

Tyco looks like running BMWs next year, so Waters will probably go with whoever is running Suzuki's as Niall Mackenzie is a big fan, according to the commentators anyway

Rumours abound that TYco are swopping to BMW aswell, though I would think that is a rumour as I would expect Buildbase to get more support with the job Kiyo and Hicken did this year.

Tyco have bene a Suzuki team for a long time now, be a big switch for them, unless of course Crescent are coming back to the UK again, in which case I can see them runnign a dealer team like Honda will be.

Brookes has bene like this for years, occasional genius. Yamaha is a crap bike in Britain, not powerful enough, has to get away or he has no way to beat folk.

As for Waters, great in wet average any other time. Hopkins is maybe done, but was getting beter year end.

Kiyo would have won it were it not for the crash. Linfoot was superb. Westmoreland poor on same bike as Kiyo. Easton up and down as usual. Hickman superb. O Halloran superb on Suerstock, that would be my Honda main team. Bridewell for me was improving but did too much damage early on to keep his ride, he should be Tyco or Kiyos teammate.

Others to impress were Mainwaring last round and Kirkham. And Ellison who after his injury was great. Walker fell away too sadly.

A good summary of the season. Given the generally accepted view of the Yamaha, how on earth Brookes manage those superb wins at Thruxton! You really think Bridewell won't keep his ride? Easton was the disappointed for me. I was hoping for wins, Wilson was even more of a disappointment. Great comeback for Ellison but is it me who thinks he may run at the front but never quite make that final decisive move to take the lead and win races?

Lest we forget, we lost Karl Harris and Simon Andrews this season. RIP.

There will be 2 Superbike series in Straya again - the strong ASC (7 rounds with factory Honda/Yamaha) & the "re-vamped" ASBK (5 rounds, no factory bikes)...

ASBK will have there 1st round next week as support to WSBK at Phillip Island & the ASC bikes will enter as its on the "World stage" - understand that

British Superbikes start the 2015 campaign this weekend (I'm all packed to head down early doors tomorrow for practice) - will be interesting to see if Shakey's testing injury has any effect. You've got to think it's going to a two horse race again between Shakey and Kiyo - but if James Ellison manages a complete season without injury I wouldn't be betting against him.

They were busy down there!

As I'm part of the BSB Medical team we move about over the course of the weekend. Means I get different views. Thankfully I had very little to do, Oulton Park is my next round!

Glad to hear
It was great to spectate from the TV. Only the sidecars could have get more air time with the first race, I felt.

I went to the 3rd round of the MotoAmerica AMA superbike race at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on Sunday, May 17. It was good to see superbike racing return to VIR, which last hosted a superbike race several years ago.

Superbike racing in the U.S. has a new promoter in 2015, a company called MotoAmerica. MotoAmerica took over from Daytona Motorsports Group last fall.

I think the new promoters did a good job and I would characterize the event as a success, but I think there's still a lot of room for growth.

Here are some of my photos.

VIR is a fantastic circuit. It's one of those American tracks I would love to visit in the future.

BSB

Double for Brookes at Brands GP at the last round. The Yamaha is coming good! Some bad crashes in race 1 for the PBM riders though, jeez! Easton's was particularly shocking. There just seemed to be far too many offs in that race overall. It was heart-in-the-mouth stuff in race 2 watching Walker tear it around with oil leaking out of the bikes like that.

Kiyo, where are you?
