winny should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
F3 Euroseries - Hockenheim

The F3 Euroseries championship starts this weekend at Hockenheim. The qualifying for the 1st race of tomorrow has already been done.
Manor seem very competitive since the winter testing and confirm this at Hockenheim. I'm a bit surprised not to see ASM at the top. Don't get me wrong their positions are good, but compared to last year we can feel manor are better. OK I guessed their domination would end some day but didn't expect this from the first race. Then again maybe the races will prove me wrong...

Here are the qualifying results:

1. Esteban Guerrieri - Manor - 1'33"651
2. Kohei Hirate - Manor - 1'33"674
3. Giedo Van der Garde - ASM - 1'33"908
4. Kazuki Nakajima - Manor - 1'34"001
5. Paul Di Resta - ASM - 1'34"086
6. Sebastien Buemi - Mucke - 1'34"279
7. Sebastian Vettel - ASM - 1'34"366
8. Kamui Kobayashi - ASM - 1'34"368
9. Romain Grosjean - Signature - 1'34"404
10.Tim Sandtler - Signature - 1'34"418
11.Guillaume Moreau - Signature - 1'34"511
12.Charlie Kimball - Signature - 1'34"758
13.Richard Antinucci - HBR - 1'34"787

it's going to be a very competitive season at this rate.

big surprises for me are buemi and sandtler. on the other end of the scale, i'm pleased my prediction for sebastien vettel is right at least at this stage. if you believe the hype, he should be fastest easily.

Umm, and what about your prediction for Guillaume Moreau? At least Signature seem to be giving their drivers equal equipment, although so do Manor, come to think of it.

Tomorrow will be interesting. Yelmer Buurman will start from pole now that they've adopted the GP2-style top eight reverse grid for Race 2.

Apparently today's poleman, Guerrieri, smacked his team-mate up the rear on the first lap and indirectly that triggered off a multi-car moment. Hey ho, latin temperament!

i thought moreau was very good. and as i said to someone yesterday evening, it was clear that anyone can drive an asm car, but you do have to be decently competant to drive a signature car to nearly the same level.

paul di resta shouldn't be making hideous mistakes at this level either.

The japanese guys are looking strong, racing for top teams like Manor and ASM, it's worth to keep eyes on them.
