Car testing at Oulton Park
Is Oulton Park open during the 'normal' testing days to the public? Planning on moving to Cheshire so might as well pop down on a couple of occasions. I don't mean official TOCA tests, and I presume the F3 lot won't bother testing there any more.

Approach the gate, if manned, use the magic word - "Testing, running late, team manager going potty"
This is usually followed by "OK mate", and he steps out of the way before being run over. Having a helmet on passenger seat, overalls on hanger in back, usually adds to the ease of passage. Other than that, it's usually free to enter on test days, with few or no restrictions. Quite often, the person on the gate is only there to offer directions to lost souls who have never been there before. Rob. |
