Hi,
Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing ... Seeing this: http://www.britishv8.org/MG/RayHoltzapple.htm Reminds me of my Glacier White MG MGB GT V8 that I bought new on the car's day of announcement in August 1973 here in the UK. A week later I was in Pennsylvania and spotted an MGC roadster at a gas station where I was filling up. I chatted to the car's owner and told him that I had just taken delivery of my car and he said "Wow - a V8 in an MGB, do you know when they are coming here as I am sure they will sell in masses". I said "Who knows" and we all know that the car was never officially sold in the USA ... Good to see that some of you are enjoying V8 MGB's 'Stateside' because they are simply awesome cars. The Texas meet must have been great: http://www.britishv8.org/2012-British-V8-Car-Meet.htm In 1968, I sold MGC's and 'B's', of course, for University Motors who back then were the UK's main MG distributor. Take care and thanks again. Paula PS. Hey back in May this year during my 'Indy 500' road trip, I rode the Durango to Silverton train in your state. Brilliant ... http://www.durangotrain.com/ Last edited by Paulaweybridge; 20 Oct 2012 at 16:23. |
