most people seem to be leaning towards a ford win, i hope it works that way, but it all depends on how quick the holden teams come to grips with the new front end & how quick they can extract power from the new head design, its taken 10+ years to get where they are now with the power, they will have to develop new manifolds to suit the new head so how will they go
aside from that id go with the same contenders as last year, most of the top 10 will have a decent opportunity i dont think testing will play to big a part this year with the new testing rules, ie only 2 cars allowed & 8 test days a year, this should hopefully negate any advantage that large teams will have |

HRT have been running the PR2 ride car for almost all of 2002 with their interpretation of the Blueprint front end, admittedly on 2001 Bridgestones
The new engine doesnt have to be run in th enew car, the existing powerplant can be fitted, but once the new one is run in a VY, it cant have an old one put back in it So a VY can run a VX engine for 2003.... So HRT will win in a canter... again |

I agree with what you predicted GTR, but it must be remembered that towards the end of 2002, we saw HRT's usually-impeccable reliability record trashed. The only question mark I see over another Skaife/HRT whitewash is this; will they be able to keep their VX engines reliable while simultaneously developing their VY engines?

Will, as Crash Test suggested earlier, perhaps their reliability record went out the window because, having sewn up this year's championship, they decided to use the remaining rounds for destruction testing of equipment, to see how hard they can stretch things in 2003.

I have to agree with Phase 3. Stone Bros & The Enforcer make a formidable team. He has always had the ability, now he has the right car and team behind him. Look out!!

I don't think Seton has a chance, he has been driving like Brocky did at the end of his day's. Anybody that was interested in overtaking he would let them through.
I'm not a manufaturer follower but I sure hope a Ford wins. Maybe Max could put DJR back on top. Watch out for Ozemail, Craig Lowndes is the best driver this country has got. |

This year MIGHT be a good one for a change !
as for title runners of course Skafie is in there Marcos to Ingall for sure and Bright or Murphy but HRT and SBR is where the champ will come from Blueprint is the hundered dollar answer which could make or break this year My two top ford teams of 03 SBR & Ozemail prodrive (FPR) will take some time |

Pure GT Ingall has absolutely no chance of beating Ambrose in the same equipment & I also think Bowe will hose Ingall in the championship this year

I don't think there is that much between all of the top guys... I think an awful lot will depend on how the teams get on top of their new equipment the quickest...

Ive been looking for a post like this for 2 weeks. My predictions is that it will be Just hard to pick a winner. Im hoping, Ambrose, Lowndes, Ingall, Wilson, Bowe, Jones , Bargwanna , Johnson , Morris , McConville, Noske, Radissich, Seton each win a round. |

Skaifey is the most consistent if HRT have fixed their Mech gremlins then he's gotta be the one to beat.
Ambrose is probably the strongest of all the fords if SBR's BA is fast at Rnd1. If BJR supply Bowe with a competetive car from the start of season I think he's in for a chance. Murph's drivng the best he ever has and with 2002 behind him maybe another one who will be right up there. Maybe the BA and VY might take to long to get up to speed leaving the way open for someone running a well sorted VX which leads to the question do the teams have to run the newer models or can they continue this year running 2002 cars |
