Question is does the 'third' car include the Muscle Milk Honda or not? As there were rumours about an unnamed HPD squad competing in WEC/Le Mans alongside Strakka. Four 03a's at LM is too much to ask surely?

My stab in the dark would be Jota.

EDIT: Seen Hindy confirm on twitter the three cars are Strakka, Muscle Milk and .......

good guesses on Farnbacher and Jota, each would make some sense. Would love it if it was someone from outside the current ACO 'family' coming in rather than an upgrade, so here's a left-field hope for someone like Team LMP Motorsport or United Autosports, but I think the previous two suggestions are more likely.

They ordered one.
But as they never received anything, they can't be forced to pay.

Apparently it's neither Farnbacher or Jota. Two of those were guessed on twitter and Hindy said it's neither of those GT squads.

Anyone know what JetAlliance are doing for 2012? We know they have finished with the Evora programme.

Just a guess to add to the mix, but what about JMW? With Dunlop factory money?

I know some people want to pretend that there is a zero percent chance of prototype overcrowding at Le Mans this year and into the future, but reality is presenting a different view. Of course, if GTE teams are fleeing in order to get prototypes, the answer may become very obvious in terms of unbalanced class distribution of entries.

Also, re the new Honda P1 entry in WEC is from a team are already a well established player in another branch of motorsport - according to DSC. So we could be talking about a rally or a motorbike team?

The more prototypes the better I`d say, GTs are pretty much a sideshow at Le mans anyways...a 70:30 ratio would still be fine.

I think most fans would agree with you. After all, there are other great European GT endurance races aside from Le Mans. That said, I know that not everyone agrees with that thought! Those fans may not have a choice though. Of course, getting rid of the Schwing would help alleviate the situation for at least one team.

So if JetAlliance are running in LMP then who will run the Evoras? Cant see that programme ending abruptly as Ive heard the cars are still being upgraded for next year.

I think the plan was to run the Evoras in-house. Or something like that. I don't know if the Ian Dawson situation (if there is one - there is conflicting information on this) is changing that or what.

Well hopefully the plan to run it inhouse brings about full pro lineups in both cars and some more straight line speed. I'd like to see this project go forwards not backwards in 2012.

As far as Ian Dawson goes, who knows?

This is also my thought. A tire manufacturer upping it's influence in the team and saying it's time to take a step up.

Or could it be that Proton/Felbermayr are stepping up? They haven't announced anything and they are pretty big in GT...
