Think the recovery crew need some more training on how to recover cars.

Welcome back Andy P. The start will be interesting tomorrow with the other BMWs also near the sharp end. How much will the long first gear even things up?
Aron Smith's reputation could be further enhanced if he keeps up with his 2 champion teammates, so what a great start for him. Palmer showed reasonable pace in a brand new car with hardly any testing. I get the impression that plenty of people on here were expecting them to be a complete flop. Hope they can get the second car on the grid soon. |

In fairness, they were up at the sharp end before the red flag, and they probably have more to learn about the car still than wsr or bmr. I expect them to unlock quite a bit more performance yet. The most disappointing performances for me were the MGs.

Sadly as expected. There's enough depth of talent at the moment that they're going to struggle to trouble the top ten to even benefit from a reverse grid slot. (caveat: the increased success ballast and the new race two grid rule might shuffle things up enough to given them a shot.)
For all the caution about his return and a need for some time to acclimatise, it looks like Priaulx has hit the ground running. If the year turns in to a Turk-Priaulx battle, I'll be a happy bunny. |

It could well be, but I wouldn't discount plato or the hondas. Biggest disappointment today has to be Jordan, for all his pre-season testing, I wouldn't have expected him so far down, and beaten by goff too!

He was always right on the edge in the Civic but always looked in control- today was the opposite of that. |

Collard, great drive. Aron Smith as well, wow.
Priaulx must be regretting the tyre choice... |

In general, though, I think the drop-off of that tire is a bit too steep. Sure, it's intended to promote overtaking, but there's no excitement at all in the overtaking that occurs because people run out of tires. |

Yes was a massive drop off, hope andy can win race 2!
With the new rules setting the grid for race 2, looks like we could be in for an unpredictable year! |

Is the ITV4 online stream being a bit patchy for anyone else?
Crazy Juniors race, to be expected perhaps with such a full grid. Looking forward to see how BTCC race 2 shapes up. |
