Geva racing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Here's a poll for ya,

which current Formula Ford Marque do you like the best.
Also Tell me why.

in no particulary order:

0 Vector: started of as a dutch company Founded by Wiet huidekoper. Cars never change but are still fast.

0 Mygale: French marque that comes up with pretty unusual designs but this year the car is a bit more in line with current fashion. Probably best of 2000

0 Swift-Cooper: Struggling since great year of 1995 but was bought last year by Alan cooper. although no impact in UK series cars run by Geva Racing in Holland show potential.

0 Ray: lay low till 1999 when they turned up with a very fast car although aided by Ambrose. deserved more. this year the car is following fashion.

0 Van Diemen: the most succesful make in history. builds solid reliable cars that have won the UK championship this year.

0 Jamun: a Brands hatch specialist. Mark Marchant can do wonder with a Jamun but sadly they have conformd to fashion.

OK fans I await your verdict.

PS. WHICH CAR IS GOING TO WIN THE FESTIVAL?????

Although i'm suspected to say Swift. my all time favorite is Jamun because of their fashion defiant designs.
2000 Jamun is not good!!

Difficult to say but I say this

Mygale 39%
Van Diemen 38%
Swift Cooper 9%
Vector 8%
Jamun 4%

(Tatuus 1%)

Add tatuus to the list. they haven't build a challenger for 2000 but still a potent car.

Here in Australia we still run Kent cars. I have only had dealings with Swift(up to '97) and Van Diemen(up to '98) and out of those two I'd say you can't deny the VD reputation but I'd rather work on a Swift any day. Swifts always cost more but everything was so well thought out. I don't know what the build quality of the current ones is like. We also have Spectrum (Aussie built-'98 championship winner) and some older Vectors and current Mygales ('99 and '2000 champions).

As for the festival, James Courtney-Van Diemen I hope.

Most FF competitors in Australia would really like to change engines but it is up to the boss of Ford Motorsport Australia. He wants a one make chassis (Martin Hines) and a Ford engine 1600 (but not Zetec). We have heard nothing for months now thats why I posted the topic asking if the MH formula was up and running. Can anyone tell me?

The swifts of geva may be good in holland but how about that eurocup result where all the brits were

tristan te pas came 38th out of 49 with 42 finishers there top time was 4 seconds of the pace(by the way we got fastest lap and are now top of the european championship)

we were of the pace. I agree with that but if you compare our earlier results against those of newly crowned Benelux Champion Mike den Tandt it's suprising.

the whole year we've been faster or roughly the same but now on spa, a circuit we knew didn't suit the Swift, we were 4 seconds of the pace.
our drivers are inexperienced and we could do little testing but four seconds? and after a collision in the euro race tristan drove like hell from a way back in last place

but now you start to critisise our cars because yours are so "superior" why are you changing from Mygale to van Diemen then? sounds a bit odd doesn't it.

now i don't want to hear another word from you mackmot till after the festival. maybe these are bad cars but i'm sure as hell they'll be snapping at YOUR heels at Brands.
see you there.

oh and another thing, mackmot.
it was all van diemen not mackie motorsport!!!
o and DBR, Jaap just didn't want to risk another damage at a race wich didn't have to be done.
