Morcilman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jan Heylen to Spanish F3

He has done the last two races of the championship, he was learning all the time and managed to qualify second and finish third in one of the races. He is done very well. I thought that was very interesting to see him racing in SF3, wich by the was has won Ricardo Mauricio

There is a big argument about that in Spain really, the F3 has live tv, price money and a full grid and the seasson cost half of the WSL, but the WSL has a faster car.

Heylen was helping out Ricardo Mauricio to clinch the championship, so he was for a mission. by the way Mauricio is going to do World Series next year, and will test an F1 as price for the F3 championship (that is what is being said)

spain is a good place to learn f3 isn't it? i think part of jan's problem might have been being chucked in at the deep end, and having a lot of expectations. that kind of thing gets you subconsciously. this is the perfect place to pick up on more than one way of doing things, right?

i hope he did well.

I think he was very good. he took a bit long to pick up the pace, but he was improving all the time, untill the last session were he outqualify Mauricio for second possition. He has F3 experience, but new track and new car for him. I think he was very good. On the first race he started 10th and in the second second, so it shows that he can learn.

Morcillman do you know what the prize money is for next season yet. I know this year it was up to 300E for each lap led 240E for 2nd, 180E for 3rd, 120E for 4th, 90E for 5th, 60E for 6th plus 60E for each lap completed. Plus 750E for being top Junior driver. I think that is by far the best prize money in Europe and next season is expected to be more??

Please can you keep us informed of any developments in this field?

That is some serious prize money, isn't it? 300E for every lap led?

Tradicionaly the prices in the Toyota sponsored series in spain has being the best paid in Europe by far, trust me, the prices has being the same for the last tree years, but from 98 to 2000 it was even better, with 6000 euros for every driver in the fild per race and the winner getting 12000 more per race. The F3 championship is the most cost effective in Europe, I am sure about this, the engine deal is very cheap as is done by toyota, there is big prices and an F1 test for the winner, with live Tv is the most cost effective one, in my oppinion anyway.
