It's off!
My plaster cast (following my Goodwood FoS accident) has been taken off this morning!
I now have a hefty support on it and my crutches for back up! I've already tried, and my marshalling boots fit over it! Thanks to all that said 'hi' to me at Thruxton yesterday, it was good to see you. See those that are going next weekend to Silverstone for the GP Masters. I'll be the one in orange............ limping! |

Susie I hope you did not have to much muscle wasted while you was in plaster. I broke my knee in a motor cycle accident a couple of years ago and could not weight bear for 4 months. When they took the cast off I had ver little muscle left. My leg still sruggles when I walk up hills even though I have had physio and still do all of the excercises.
I think you saw me limping when I walked past you in the tunnel between the campsite and the paddock this weekend. By the time I got to the top of the slope my leg was giveing up but I had been on it for quite a while. |

The name thing was an error Stephen made at Goodwood, which he will not be allowed to forget! There is a notable difference in the size of my calf muscles now but I am glad I put more weight on it than the doctor said to when it was in plaster. he said to only bare 50% on it but around the house I got fed up with not being able to carry anything so I did not use the crutches for the last week. I have had to use them a little since the plaster came off but I am now walking with just the hefty support they gave me, although it is still very fragile without the support. They have given me some exercises to do but no physio appointments but I have a friend. I need my right calf muscles back to start my BSA! I hope you continue to recover too. |
