DMN 2009

Seeing as no-one has started it yet, whats everyone doing

Made the hard decision to take a year out. Will be helping Dave White with his Class D sierra

Will be back in 2010 and might make the odd appearance in 2009

That's rough Andy, I thought things were looking good for next year for you? You seemed to be pretty certain of getting some good sponsorship in place last time I spoke to you.

I hope to be competing in class E next year

DMN does seem to have a very long season, I'm not sure I can do March through to November

ill be out in either dmn, tin tops or both, and currently hopefully have a sponsor to help towards entry fees, so its better than nothing !! hope to get more sorted out though.

Well there were two new winners in 2008, namely Ron Kiddell at Silverstone and Andy Thompson at Lydden.
In answer to the query about a "long season", surely one race a month fits people's budgets better?

I enjoyed the DMN in 2008 and met a lot of nice people so all being well will be back in 2009.

Glad you enjoyed it Ken. I must admit the standard of preparation of all the Minis has been outstanding and a true credit to the championship. This coupled with the variety of cars has enabled us to keep the sponsors on board again.

I enjoyed the few that I managed. I'll try and do more rounds next year, when's the 1st one?

I'll be back to follow you everywhere during 2009. So apologies for that. Especially to Dave Usher who will now have another season of ending up backwards / upside down in front of me

Assuming you'll have me?

I suspect I'll be out, at some point, but maybe not for the season. House move and kids, etc...

But it will be in the CRX, that much I do know

I usually go to that meeting but the line up's pretty poor this time! No national hot rods etc!

Ha Ha thanks for that Jon

I will be back next year, and plan to have the car finished early this time and get it some well needed testing in befor the season starts. As the first time i ever drove the car was qualifiying in march at brands.

So hopefully there should be no backwards/upside down antics next year. But if there is i'll be safe in the knowledge that you will be there to get a picture.

Looking forward to next year already

If Rod can nip round to Shaun Potters house and slap him a few times there should be a Mk2 Escort out, also theres a new driver called Jezz Francis coming out in a wide bodies Nova , he passed his ARDs this week and the cars almost finished. I'm still hoping Andy will have a turnaround.
