Of course there is a Prost's version of the facts, but both champions had benefits from this bitter rivalry like happened to Nuvolari-Varzi, Clark-Hill, Stewart-Fittipaldi, Lauda-Hunt, Foyt-Unser and so on.

You mean, Prost has a side to the story??? I always thought what Senna/fans said was straight as a arrow!

There's nothing about it. But I'd be interested in what he thinks about Mansell's problem with him in 1990?

You know what else I would've liked? If he had confirmed the story of the 1988 Italian GP? That was amazing, if true.

I was reading an article in this month's Motor Sport about John Barnard which described Prost as "mercurial"; pretty much the *last* adjective I'd apply to Le Professeur.

All top-gun drivers when they get edged out get 'mercurial'.

The long version of the Senna film has a decent Prost interview spread amongst it. Well worth a watch and quite moving.

This changes nothing for me. The reason I say so is that for me, Senna, Prost and Mansell were three drama queens with egos powerful enough to light up a continent. All three were great drivers, some of the best in the history of mankind, but I wouldn't want to be either one's teammate.

Yeah, it probably didn't happen that way. It's an awesome story though and I wish it to be true.

Really enjoyed that article. At three paragraphs it was a bit short though.

Trouble is, it costs them to produce the content. Previously you could only get it from the mag, which cost. I don't have it because the quality overall isn't good enough. IMHO. My money can go elsewhere.

Still Prosty.
I like his comment about liking Senna doesn't mean you have to hate Prost. Seems fair to me, in many situations. |

I hate to ask, but I'm up for a laugh, but what is the Monza '88 theory?

Quote:
"Prost, realising that the misfire wasn't going away decided to turn his boost up to full and give chase to his team mate. Many people in the F1 Paddock believed that Prost, knowing he wouldn't finish, hoped to make Senna use too much fuel in his bid to keep ahead, something which could have consequences for Senna later in the race if he was forced to back off to try to finish." |
