That Golf does look tasty!

No anniversary GTI badge on the grille though? Boooooo! ;-)

If WSR were charging anywhere near £500k per car, nobody would be driving for them.
...and certainly not Turkington. He's been paid to race in the last couple of years, so he's not going to pay now.

Not sure where you get your figures from, but I can assure you Collard did not part with that sort of money!

Dean Smith and Phil Glew both tested for 888 today at Rockingham in a Vectra, personally i would love to see Glew in a Vectra in BTCC, not got anything against Dean Smith but Phil Glew was a huge force in Clio's last year and would be awesome to see what he can do in a touring car.

With the guys confirmed so far, who's to say Matt Hamilton can't take regular top 10s. I know we're in a recession and it's nothing new for deals to be confirmed late, but the idea of Collard and Neate fighting to defend WSR's title isn't an exciting one. Hopefully there will be good news on Dynamics, Silverline, Turkington and Motorbase soon enough. So far the grid's fine on quantity, but really lacking in quality.

Yep. Now the number backing will just ruin that.

But with Repaircare their main sponsor I don't understand why they used red/blue instead orange/black.

More pics available?

What to do about this? Using this sort of numbers (BTW nice Kia)?

I believe it's supposed to look vaguely like a Union Jack, hence the red/white/blue colours. The mock-up on their website (www.forstermotorsport.com) gives a better view and make a little more sense if you compare with the BTCC logo on the same page.

Not an option. Series regs require they use the standard white panel and black numbers.

with Mcdowell looking likely for RML's 2nd seat do you think we could see Mat Jackson back in a BMW at Motorbase?

Yes. In fact I'd expect to see that announced this week. Will be the first time they've run a top line driver so should be interesting.

Also, I think the two drivers have their own sponsors, so they've compromised and stuck with the same basic livery for the sake of uniformity, while having their individual logos on the car.

And it least its not just plain white with some stickers stuck on...ala Jackson or Motorbase or even maybe WSR this year (although I don't expect those cars to be white when see them next week...)

or STCC style rear door window numbering allowing more space for the sponsors teams are having trouble finding.

you are one horrid arrogant person, Rob, Jonny and Steven are all top line drivers to make a remark like that is just plain disrespectful

How does it make me a horrid, arrogant person? Simply pointing out that Jackson is a step up from any driver they've run before.

None of the drivers Motorbase have run previously are capable of a championship challenge (IMO), whereas someone like Jackson is.

You need to take off the Jonny Adam blinkers a bit AlanD. Alfa Fan was simply stating his opinion. One which I happen to agree with. Maybe after year two in the BTCC, we could say the same about Kane and Adam, like we did with Jackson after his 2008 efforts.

i think the best option for Motorbase if it was an option would be either Kane and Jackson or Collins and Jackson. Personally Johnny Adam didnt stand up to expectations for me.
