Allen Mead should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Following on from the adding a watermark thread....

Can someone produce a simple 'How to' for photochop for adding this to several photos at a time. I know it can be done, but I'm a bit thick when it comes to photoshop.

Thanks in advance!

Isn't there a batch convert or something? I'll have a look later.

OK, there's "File...Automate...Batch", and I think you can set it up from there.

Tried it myself once, and it crashed Too much at once I think...

Batch processing can be done via 'Actions' in Photoshop.

I have several 'actions' set up in PS7 to do many different jobs such as putting borders around my images to reducing a directory of images to a certain size, to adding my watermark etc, etc.

Once saved the 'actions' can be used over and over again by identifying the one you want to use in the 'File, Automate, Batch command within Photoshop.

This link may help you as it's a reasonably complicated process until you get used to it.

Feel free to email me and I'll help you out where I can.

Regards, Guy

Right, I'm getting the hang of this, got it to do what I want. However, how do I get it to save a jpg file automatically without the compression question?

now this is the area that always catches me out. I do it one of 2 ways - either save the 'save' as part of the action to a different folder or tick the 'override action save as commands' but I once overwrote my originals .

I think you could incorporate it into one of your actions...?

I have incorporated it into the action, but I might be doing something wrong as I still get the compression level dialog box come up and I have to click on the 'ok' button.

Even if you've actually recorded the saving of an image with the compression setting you want? Hmm, thinking about it most of my batch processing is done for Web bound images so I incorporate 'save for web' at the end of the action and that works. At least I think it does. I'll check tonight.

Sorry guys, should of updated the link, I didn't like the way dreamweaver created a photo album. It made it for only 1 page, which would take quite some time to open bearing in mind there are over 580 pics.

Finally got round to installing JAlbum which seems very good!

Mathews dad has got the correct link.
