1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Grech gone?

Can anyone confirm the rumour that I heard that Jeff Grech has severed all ties with Holden.

Could he be going to Team Britek?

Could well be true I've been saying for quite some time now to expect some major changes within HMS, now that Uncle Tom is back in charge.

I can't see (from the outside) why Jeff would leave, although he was close to leaving after the disatrous years of 95' and 97'... so 2004 must be the lowest the team has been!!!

But you would think the motivation to match and beat Ambrose and the Stones would be enough to keep him in the red team.

Hasnt Mr Grech effectively been replaced/superseded/usurped as the Operations Manager of HMS with the appointment of this mysterious new overseas person?

HMS has been likened to a house of cards recently... Mr Grech (amongst others) may have been dealt a hand of Jokers....

It wouldnt suprise me if Garry Rogers were the best Holden team out there next season... they have two young drivers with everything to prove, and about the only stable Holden team on the grid..

I didn't know that John Crennan came from overseas
my guess is that Uncle Tom will throw some serious HSV money towards Kelly Racing and this maybe the reason for Mr.Crawfords change of mind. I wonder if Skaifey enjoyed his Christmas

Billy what will happen to Skaifeys role at HSV?

Will he have to move from a GTS300 to a SV6 as his personal transport?

Will he still be groomed as the HSV fair haired boy and be a board director?

He was being groomed to take over Crenno's job but rumour has it that Mark and John have had a serious falling out with each other and that Walkinshaw hates Mark's guts. So I have a sneaking suspicion that he wont be part of HSV in the future.

Sounds dreadfull Billy.

Oh well Mark could always go back to writing books about the glory years. Still things are not looking so good for HRT in 2005 and beyond.

I wish Dave Moy was here to give us some feedback. He seemed to be on the pulse with all things HSV/HRT.

I think Walkinshaw hates every drivers gutes who has driven for him and that the feeling is reciprocating.

A good move to bring in Snappy Tom, unrest is ripe and soon there will be liquidators at the door.

From 1988-2002 HRT was owned by Tom Walkinshaw and Mark Skaife started there in 1997. The answer then would be yes.

Does your Dad still have anything to do with HSV now, or has he retired but retained good sources?
Is this HDT all over again?

Ever noticed that when a team gets really good for a long period, all is good until a few (or many) poor performances happen, and then everyone claims it's a sinking ship? And then ususally those who are making those claims are on the inside?

They've brought in someone who doesn't seem to have a lot of cred since the TWR Arrows debarcle, and now the Holden Racing Team as we know it is saying "This is not the way to go" and privately I'm sure the brown stuff is hitting the fan.

SBR are lucky in the sense that they are owned and run by two brothers, and if they get jack of each other the most it would come to is one buying out the other. Holden is a corporation (and I believe so is HRT) so it gets a bit messier...

Gaz170,
He has retired and has nothing to do with the place! IMO it is not HDT all over again.

I guess so Crowie, I think that the Snapper would have been a little busy during the first few Skaife years to care much for an Antipdoean touring car team? History shows that he didnt do such a good job at what he was spending his time on though!
