"Touring Car World" yearbooks

Are the Touring Car World yearbooks written by Fabio Ravaioli a good buy? Is the quality of the text and picturues good?

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I have 2003-2005. They are very factual, rather than narative. They cover all the major touring car series, with all the grids and results.

Usually they are of a high quality print, only my 2004 one was a bit disappointing. The European/World series is covered in depth, and all the series have a selection of action shots amongst the results.

Its a very good statistical record of the championship, but if you are looking for race reports you will be disappointed.

I would recommend purchasing it from Grand Prix Legends.

Has the book also info about teams?

Not a problem, I am not really interested in race reports.

John Winter should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
In case you didn't know, Fabio Ravioli is the press officer of the WTCC.

Why Grand Prix Legends?
Yes, the book has full statistical information on all cars and drivers, and pictures of each individual entry.

I suggested Grand Prix Legends only because I got it from there without a problem and its one of only two places I have seen it available, the other being Amazon, which at the time was more expensive (haven't checked lately)

Got mine off Amazon, took ages.

Photo's mainly of 'ETCC' cars. But lots of stats on all of the other series.

The 2004 book is about 2003, the 2003 about 2002 etc. hate it when they do that.

Indeed it's not very logical.

Thanks all for your advice.
Probably I will buy some books (2003, 2004 & 2005 edition).

The pictures are typically very good though sometimes a bit too small for my liking. I've bought everyone since '94 b/c it serves as a good reference for stats/info.

Ive got the books from 2003-2005. Very good books IMO, not if you want a review of the actual races and championship perhaps, but every statistic you could wish to know about any of the major touring car series in the world is in this book. Within reason. A very good buy, especially for the money. IMO.

Yeah, buy the books from a reputable dealer. Beware of websites that offer the books directly from the publisher/author. I ran into some major pains several years going that route.

Yes, he doesn't talk a load of bolognese. He's a pasta master at the job. I/m not gnocching him.

I am sorry for digging in the dirt...

But

Does anyone know, where i still can find copies of older Yearbooks of Fabio Ravaioli?
At Amazon i only find some copies from 2003-2007. I believe, 2007 must be last.
I have one book from 1994, but can i buy somewhere the books between?

If you're not in a particular hurry, you can always flag the search and have Ebay send you an email whenever one does get put up for sale.

Fabio Ravioli is Director of Communications at TCR these days. And that is mentioned on their site incl. an e-mail address. One could always try to approach the man directly. No you already have, yes you might get

The later red ones are pretty easy to find on ebay or Amazon. The earlier black ones are a little harder to find but not impossible. They turn up on ebay occasionally, you just need to be patient.
