Most of us will be camping infield for this meeting, purely for logistical reasons during the 24hr itself.

Best to check on arrival for the best places dependent on whether you are using a tent or caravan etc -should be plenty of space available near all the facilities.

Sorry Pete, that was out of my hands last year - think it was a late change of plan - it's a hard job you know - sitting there like a coiled spring waiting for that call to action!! Glad the electric windows worked when the heavy rain came in the early hours!!

Pete, I just PM'd Terry this morning - I think the best explanation is
"it's still to be finalised"
Last thing I want to do is pitch the tent Friday at timekeepers and then have to move it after the "regular" race has packed up and gone home. (& before the 2CVs start)
However, pitching up at the back of the paddock Friday night may be a bit noisier & busier the first night.

cheers Bodysnatcher, Be great to catch up with you, not seen you in ages,. got to move my base for weekend,. its already there, (caravan)... so think any where on inside is good for me. Padock plan looks like area that was old skid pan, now hard standing might be where thinking of.... unless here from others to get 'better' spot

You've got to find Snetterton first!

Thanks to all marshals volunteering for this event

We'll be on the 200 circuit this year, otherwise I fear half of you would be asleep waiting for the cars to come around again

As has already been mentioned, if you can't make it this year, head to the 2CVRacing website at http://www.2cvracing.co.uk and you'll be able to tune into the webcast - streaming video and commentary from the circuit, plus live timing, hourly results bulletins, and regular updates via Twitter. You can also get in touch with the commentary team via email and Twitter!

For those at the circuit, ear-radios will be available (not sure how at the moment, ask at sign-on), and the commentary will be broadcast on 87.7 FM, so you can keep up to speed with what's going on when the PA shuts off for the night. We should also have some on-board and trackside camera views in the media centre, and (I hope!) in Tyrrells.

Come for the atmosphere, and stay for the post-race party and prizegiving in Tyrrells

Chris is correct there will be ear radios for all the marshals.
As well as the radios there will be goodies for the marshals, although this year they will be pick and choose, rather than bags.
If any of you have suggestions of what you would like(no 25year old malts) we will try to please.

Please find below a note posted on the 2cv website, from Martin Harrold, a dedicated 2cv racer himself and who has contributed a great deal towards providing the media coverage for this unique event.

The 21st running of our unique and legendary 2CV 24hr Race is now just a couple of days away.
Over the past months, lots of people have been working quietly in the background to make it happen. We've got the biggest entry for many years and in all sorts of ways, this years race promises to be a great event.

In the past two years, one of those people, club member Chris Yates, has experimented with producing a live webcast of the continuous commentary along with live video from cameras in the pit lane and in-car. All along, he's worked on the thinnest of shoestrings and applied amazing technical skill, innovation and effort to the task. This year, he hopes that he has resolved many of the issues encountered in the early years and, fingers crossed, the webcast is set to be very impressive.

So, before you pack your kit and set off for Snetterton, take a few minutes to email all your family, friends and contacts. Tell them that they can follow the race live on the web. Tell them to go to www.2cvracing.co.uk and take a look after 4.45 on Saturday afternoon. They already know that you are just a little bit nutty to even be involved in 2CV racing. Now you can give them the chance to listen and look at what you do.

The more people we can encourage to follow the race, the stonger it will become.

And when you are at the circuit, the guys in the commentary box at the very top of the stairs, Alan Hyde, Charlie Butler-Henderson, Lewis Beales and Jon Waldock will be very pleased to have you pop in and tell them all about your adventures on and near the track during the race. You'll find the combined radio/web production office and the new 2CV Club Hub in what is normally the Stewards Room. Thank you BARC / John Felix for letting us use it. Turn right halfway up the stairs, in towards Race Control, then it's first door on the left.

It's your race - tell everyone you can think of to follow it on the web.
