Qualifying versus Points

After the Darwin 13th race in the V8SC Championship some trends are becoming apparent.
It is interesting to compare driver’s average year to date grid position with their place in the Championship points table. This I have done in the following. I confess that this software does not make tables easy to prepare so please bear with it.
The first column is Average Grid position, the second column is Championship Points position

Some quick comments:
Drivers who are finishing much better than their qualifying include Lowndes, Caruso, Courtney and Tander. Perhaps they have better race cars than qualifiers.
Drivers who are finishing worse than their qualifying include Mostert, Coulthard, Pye, and Waters. Perhaps they are better qualifiers than racers. Also crashes come into it of course.

It's been said that the FPR cars are good one lap machines, but not great over race distance. Those stats support that claim.

Not just the PRA cars, all of the Fords seem to have this problem.
