keithIOW should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
New Member

Hi everyone,

I've been looking at the forum for a while now and thought it was about time I subscribed.

I've been a keen photographer for about 3 years and up until last year I've been mainy doing landscapes, as I live on the Isle of Wight the possibilites for stunning sunsets are almost endless.

However after a while I thought it was about time I turned my attention to another field (after all there's only so many times you can photograph the Needles).

So with this in mind, last year I went to a couple of race meetings and an F1 test session at Silverstone. As a result, I've put together a motorsport photography website http://motorsportphoto.net

This is my first attempt at a website, so I would be grateful for any comments advice that you guys might have.

Many Thanks

Keith

Looks like a good site, and looks like your pictures are good too. Media accredited? And the testing shot of Coulthard's RBR, really tight in- is that Bridge!?!? And if so, what the hell lens was it!?

Thanks for the feedback.

I wish I was media accredited, but alas I'm not. I'm trying various avenues to get accreditation, but as yet no luck.

The Coulthard picture was taken as he exited Luffield. As it was a test session there was'nt a lot of stewards around so I was able to get right up to the fence. It was taken on a Canon 5D with the 100-400 IS L lens (taken at 400, F/8 1/500 sec). If you would like a copy pm me and I'll forward one on. It prints well at A4 and I would imagineit would be ok (i guess) at A3

Cheers

Keith

Without wishing to sound harsh, that's not something you should be proud of.

When Silverstone announced there were going to charge to watch F1 test sessions there was much debate in the Trackside forum about how it was being spoilt by people who thought they knew better and could ignore basic safety instructions. You wouldn't do that at a race meeting so why do it at a test session.

If you are looking for accreditation, such disregard will do you no favours.

Yeah, OK, getting to the fence is very silly- but lets not be so harsh.

Happy Snapper should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I used to live in Cowes and have family there, still do get over to the island every once in a while.

I remember some years back we had to stop at F1 test session because a snapper was in an area he should not have been the drivers had radioed back they sent security out he was escorted off site never to return his snapping days of F1 over
