Garrett should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Favorite class at Le Mans?

Just wondering what everybody's favorte racing class was? I would have to say Group C. I just love that closed coupe look. They were really something. How about your's?

Unfortantly I do remember the Group C days, but after watching a few review videos, they all looked wonderful races. At present I think the LMP900's and 675's and GTP and GTS and GT are my favourite classes ! ! !

I couldn't possibly comment on Gp. C, because i was barely in time to see it.

So i'd have to go on the current classes, with my favorite being LM GTP.

Obviously Group C, but today GTS and GT. If again there are GT1´s or more GTP in Le Mans, then they will be my favourites.

I totally missed the Group C heyday. While I really like GT and GTS, The LMPs are the only cars now that really do the track any justice.

I prefered racing back in the 1950s, where there were classes down to 750cc, and the bigger cars had to drive around the smaller cars.

Those of you who have never witnessed Group C cars at Le Mans. Get hold of some of the Radio Le Mans videos and enjoy.

Alternatively, pick up a copy of "In-Car 956". You'll see what we slightly older Le Mans fans are raving about.

I'd pick group c for sure, it's strange even now those cars look so modern and yet their historics!

For me its GTS and GT, if LMP GTP ever really takes off though then that will be my personal favourite.

GTS, because all their engines sound like REAL CARS. I find the best part about racing is the noise.

However, the Porsche 956 is the first thing I'd seek out if I suddenly came into a lot of money. It could sit next to the Dino and then my garage would have infinitely more cachet than my house.

Uh-oh, got on this thread by mistake, thought it said 'favourite dress', and I've a nice little chiffon number...
But while I'm here, Group C without a doubt. Can't believe no-one's mentioned the inspirationally named 'Category 4' from the early nineties.

Brant, your right, the Group C cars do look so modern even though they are around 20 to 10 years old (1982-1993). I would surely love to see another class like it, or even better, Group C heyday again. Also, how come the GTP class really hasn't been popular in the last 4 years now?

LMP 900s are the fastest. Kinda like the designs of the car.
