Jared should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What was the last year for non-championship Grand Prix races? I'm talking about races like the "Race of Champions" and others. Also, how many non-championship races were held in most years?

Thanks.

Try this for an answer www.forix.com/asp/__ng.asp?z=0&k=0&l=0 That should tell you the total races

Since 1894 Paris to Ruoen or something like that.

The last is said to be 10th April 1983 at Brands.

Hope that helps.

The last "Race of Champions" ws held after a gap of three years from the previous race on 4 April 1983. The short race at Brands Hatch was won by Keke Rosberg.

As late as 1974, there were three Non-Championship F1 races. In 1971, there were 8 Non-Campionship races:

The Argentine GP
The Race of Champions (Brands Hatch)
The Questor GP (Ontario, California)
The Spring Trophy (Oulton Park)
BRDC International Trophy (Silverstone)
Rindt Memorial Race (Hockenheim)
International Gold Cup (Oulton Park)
Victory Race (Brands) This last race, staged to celebrate Stewart's second title ended with Jo Siffert's fatal crash.

Thanks guys. Over here, on Speedvision, they play a series called "Legends of Motorsport," in which they will sometimes show old F1 races. The ones from the late 1950's and early 1960's show a lot of non-championship F1 races held at British tracks, esp. Goodwood and Silverstone. I always wondered about that. Thanks.
