slicktsax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
my god that is such a beautiful car. definiteky my favorite looking GT1/GTS car. it will make a nice site seeing it race against the new C6-R, MC12, S7R, 575 GTC, and prodrives own 550's. imagine all those cars racing in anger down the mulsane straight at lemans nose to tail.

If looks could do the business then all the other GTS cars might as well stay at home next year, the car looks even better then the artist impressions that were released earlier in the year.
This will be for sure my favourite car next year.

What is that strange pipe-like thing that comes out of the hood on the right hand side just before the windshield?

Check out pictures of Care Racing 550's at Le Mans at Test Days and Qualifying - it's the same arrangement. Not sure of exact technicalities (Mulsanne Mike?)but it provides additional telemetry, but is not allowed in the race?

airspeed measuring device.
Measured by airpressure at the end of the pitot tube, and static airpressure at the side of the pitot tube.

It´s the same as the one on the 550. You can measure downforce by comparing wheel speed and airspeed. If airspeed is higher than groundspeed you got downforce at the place the pitot measures. other way aroundyou have lift.

Looking at this car and thinking about the Maseratis, the C6-R, the 550s, the 575s, and the Lambos has me wondering if they shouldn't just can the protos all together at Le Mans and make GTS the top class...

Probably is Turner driving it, his helmet is a similar shade of blue to Salo's.

I am sure thats Martin Ogilvie lurking about in the background on one of the pictures? If so can anyone confirm what his role was in the project

Yeah, from what I could work out, it is Turner, makes the most sense.

Who is Martin Ogilvie?

Hehe, you got my vote. I vastly prefer GTS over the prototypes. A racing GT just looks so much nicer than the protos.

Ever made the pilgrimage to LM ? Not impressed by the end of the starting straight when they get the national flag ? Prototypes are amazing by certain points on the track...

But I don't want to open a debate, I like the GTs as well...
