JJlehto1992 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

This could be a tight battle, without the two porsches
Well at least buemi's catching up lil bit now (44.6)

Anyone else wondering about wind sensitivity playing a factor with the Audi at Silverstone? They sure are looking quick right now.

Their advanced aero concept has to be somewhat sensitive to non-optimal air conditioning.

1.5 seconds is not close. They have to be within a second to have anything resembling a competition.

You're going to have to up your game by Sunday. Less than 20 lap times posted out of 201 laps completed by the factory teams. That's less than 10%. YOU CAN DO BETTER

You need to put things in perspective. Porsche has a proven package and can go for times right away, Toyota is racing a brand new package that is still in the process of being sorted out.

That they`re only 1.5 seconds off after the very first session is certainly promising, because unlike last year we can expect them to find plenty of more speed in that car.

They were only 0,6 seconds off from the top time last year in Silverstone FP1.

Many were expecting them to find the pace even last year, Graham Goodwin even tipped them as surprise favorites going into Test Day...

Anyway, obviously Porsche will only get quicker too, whether proven or not.

The closer gap last year was down due to Porsche not maximizing their potential with a new car yet, similar to Toyota this year.

Fact is, Porsche has a proven car and there simply is less to find in a proven car than in a brand new machine that (at least at the prologue) was still overweight and not even nearly figured out.

Also, I don't think anybody penned Toyota as favorite for anything last year following their disastrous performance at Spa. That was the point when Toyota decided to speed up development of the new engine after all.

It looks like a Porsche walkover, but it might be an interesting fight between Toyota and Audi.

Toyota itself had more-of-an-evolution package for 2014 while the others had completely new designs, and they completely dominated everyone (except LM with the infamous failures).

Older spec Peugeot 908s too kept ahead of the entirely new Audis.

Regarding that Graham comment last year, during Hour 1 of Test Day:

http://www.radiolemans.co/2015/05/31...st-day-part-1/
"New Toyota spec, Toyota TS040 this year, sticks of course with 6MJ but they're here with new aero kit for Le Mans. Watch that team. They've been written off coming into this race - not so sure at all. Their only weak point as far as I can see here is two rather than three cars. And you know what, I say it right here and now, I think there's every possibility that this might be the only race that Toyota win this year. I think they look very strong coming into the Le Mans 24 Hours. I think they can certainly run at speed, not ultimately we don't believe at the speed of the Audi and Porsches, but they're certainly going to be quick enough to stick with leading pack or stick on that lead lap. They can stay out of pits while others don't, then I think they could spring something here. --"
