The crowds at all events have been growing every year - not spectacularly so but more because of word of mouth rather than cash injections. There was a much larger crowd at Donington than in 2012 and a pretty good support card as well. Significant or not, it showed that it had a growing fan base of real fans. Organic growth rather than forced growth.
It's not realistic to expect Superstars to grow at an exponential rate in the economic climate we have had for too many years now - but in a world of financial retrenchment it has had good growth and hopefully that will continue. |

I think, from the idea it is the best touring car series.
Unfortunately it hasn't attracted too many teams from outside of italy. Even the drivers are not really international. So it stays nearly an italian championship - bad for international press and so the crowds cannot grow very much! Most of the german race spectators didn't know Superstars - they may know F1, DTM and maybe WTCC. Nothing else (i don't mean hardcore fans like here). But i think, if they could see the show, they would be very interested in this series. |

I wouldn't think we would have Portugal or Donington...too expensive...but the others look good.

As the TV cameras will be there anyway as a part of each round, my guess is that shouldn't be a problem.

Algarve is an odd choice, since the crowds are terrible.
Otherwise, it's a great calendar! |

ATT ASSOCIATION (ASSOCIAZIONE TEAM TOP CARS), FG MARKETING&COMMUNICATION SIGN PROMOTION DEAL FOR 2014 EUROV8 SERIES.
Rome, January 24th, 2014 At the end of a meeting held today in Bologna between representatives of Associazione Team ATT and FG GROUP, the two parties agreed terms for the 2014 running of the newly-formed EUROV8 SERIES. ATT and the teams participating in the Bologna meeting guaranteed that a minimum of 16 cars will take part in each of the 6 rounds on the schedule, three of them in Italy (Monza, Vallelunga, Mugello), one in Czech Republic (Brno) and two in Germany (Sachsenring, Hockenheim). The series aims to deliver exciting events while keeping the running costs manageable and the decisions will be made in close co-operation with the participants. The Teams, coordinated by the Association, will be much more involved in the sporting and technical management than in the past and also will take charge of managing the Balance of Perfomance. Albeit necessary to keep the races tight and exciting among cars that are so different from each other, the balancing measures represent a tough political management issue due to the inherent difficulty in finding solutions that are widely accepted. The common goal is to guarantee a competitive field and - as a consequence - good results in terms of show and competition while waiting for the “SUPERLEAGUE” project set for 2015, which will also feature tight cooperation with the teams taking to the whole 2014 season. The EUROV8 SERIES will be off to a classic start on the 6th of April at Monza, partnered by EUROGTSPRINT and Ferrari Challenge. Vallelunga is scheduled for May the 4th, with the series joined by the top Italian Championships. Round three will be at Mugello on May 18th, again with EUROGTSPRINT and Ferrari Challenge as well as at Brno, in Czech Republic, on June the 22nd. The last two rounds of the 2014 EUROV8 SERIES will be held in Germany together with the ADAC GT Masters at Sachsenring (September 21st) and Hockenheim (October the 5th). The weekend’s format will retain double races except for the two rounds in Germany where a longer single race will take place. The season will feature all the brands that made the series famous like Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes and Porsche. Roberta Gremignani, speaking on behalf of Associazione ATT, said: “The Owners of cars designed for SUPERSTARS are looking forward to the 2014 Series with a lot of enthusiasm. The calendar is very well-balanced and the championship will be able to count on Maurizio Flammini’s marketing and communication expertise. We decided to form a consortium in order to guarantee the series’ technical balance and the participation of at least 16 cars to each of the race meetings”. Maurizio Flammini said: “I am happy to see the trust of teams towards our Organization, also thanks to Roberta Gremignani and Emilio Radaelli as they worked very hard to coordinate them, develop new concepts for the sporting and technical compartment and create Associazione ATT. I think they will benefit from a very interesting platform for their racecars in 2014”. “Today’s announcement marks a new and important investment from FG GROUP, which is not re-using any previous assets but looks forward to the future with great confidence. Thanks to the work done by my partners we were able to craft a calendar with some great media, making a spectacular impact and a new marketing project that has everything it takes to become really successful at both national and international level, as well as a TV Coverage plan that will involve more than 190 countries in 5 continents” |
