Cynic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
There were some spirited runs today as well. They just tended to get cut short...

Unfortunately Prescott had to be abandoned after the first timed runs this afternoon as well due to adverse weather conditions...

Started raining Saturday evening and was still raining as I left today at 4pm

But as i was leaving Gurston, the rain started to ease off....typical.

But when you get drivers saying its getting to dangerous to drive, then it makes you think twice.

but i`m glad to be home drying off the Tent, waterproofs n oranges, sipping a wee vodka

I was looking forward to my 2nd run as well! Since I spent 20 minutes qualifying in the pouring rain at Castle Combe earlier in the month, I've come to enjoy my car in the wet.

Overall though, the CoC had no choice - when Tony Marsh and Martin Groves went off, the river through Hollow must have got too deep. I bet Tony's spin caused the Marshalls a scare!

Tony Marsh's spin was a scare even from the start line. However I feel Chris Guille's parking skills at hollow are to be commended. I really thought he was going straight through the post.

Cat & I were tempted to host a rubber duckie downhill race from the finish line, we had a great river pass us! Lack of equipment prevented the latest form of racing!!

Stayed there last night due to being a coward and not wanting to tow in rubbish weather. Last night was one of the scariest nights I've ever had. Packed up and as soon as I put my seatbelt on, bright sunshine

Wasn't really parking more accident avoidance, I would have driven back onto track if it weren't for the speed trap wire getting caught in the front wing!!!

I'm guessing you were the orange single seater? It was pretty interestingto watch - we had a look at the tyre marks afterwards and you missed the post by about a foot!

Yes that was me!

Don't tell me that, I thought I had 5 foot at least! I was surprised how much steering I actually had!

But I must say.. (and have been remiss in leaving it this late, but was waiting for others to comment) ....

a Very Big Thank-You to the Start-Line crew on both days. I was thrown-in as I/C with the radio with very little knowledge (one day as a grunt) and asked to run the Sector. Whilst I was quick (I hope) to learn from my mistakes, the learning curve would have been a lot steeper without the assistance and guidance of the team around me. Not only did they deal with the conditions but they dealt with me aswell!!!!

Many Many thanks to you all. (you know who you are, I will not embarress you by naming you all).

But the biggest thanks must go to the "Regulars-of Gurston" who welcomed Jo and I with open arms as usual. Without doubt, this is our favourite Hillclimb venue (no offense to others) if only for the social side before and after the racing. Long may it continue.

p.s. It was great to see Harry and Steve alive and almost kicking after their escapades at Stanleys.
