Scott and Debbie's wedding may have something to do with the lack of Morans, chaps.

Cracking Day of Hillclimbing
What a great day Sunday was! Despite the heavy shower the event was run well. The competition was fantastic and the two run offs provided two highly charged and entertaining rounds of the Midland Hillclimb Championship.
In the classes Martyn Pike's long journey from Devon was rewarded with a new class record in his immaculate Escort; Robert Harriman set a new class record en route to beating Roger Banks and the awesome S4; Colin Belton reset the Michelin Porsche Club Speed Championship record in his 993 RSR; Simon Fidoe was unlucky enough to have the front near-side suspension collapse during his second run but still finished in second place behind his Dad; Darren Luke beat Brodie Branch to the 1100 class victory; on the second runs the fantastic 1600 racing car class saw six out of seven successive runners each set the fastest time so far and it was left to Robert Kenrick to nick the class; and Kelvin Lee set a new class record for Classic Sports Cars. In the run-offs Deryk Young took two victories with Chris Merrick a 2nd & 3rd and Trevor Willis a 3rd & 2nd. Simon Durling who qualified fastest for both run-offs was some-what non-plussed to finish fourth in both! There were a few sore heads in the Paddock on Sunday morning, wonder how that happened? |

I have to say for me the man of the meeting was Rob Harriman.
The sight of him appearing over the crest into Fallow at absolutely full tilt was staggering. When he saw his time he was unsurprisingly over the moon. Well done Rob. |
