Nope very little involvement from TMG in the project. Team boss Tommi Makinen tested the WRC car TMG had made and then effectively started all over again. Just some engine work from TMG. Potentially a few aero bits but not sure.

Engine is definitely from TMG. After Monte, i've seen tweet’s from members of Tommi’s team congratulating TMG for their engine on the Yaris. if i can be arsed, i can find it for you or maybe get in contact with the people

Now it's the last day of January, any idea of when TMG will launch the revised TS050 or anything else program related? I assume that driver lineups will be confirmed on Thursday with the ACO releasing the WEC/LM24 entry lists, and as for the car launch, I suppose that'll be close to WEC Prologue time as has been standard the past couple of years?

I read the same thing. I really hope the new TS050 continues to be the looker and keep the f1 style nose cone.

According to a Japanese TV celeb "Matsuko Deluxe" who saw a 2017-spec TS050 design (or picture or something) in Higashifuji Center in a Toyota-sponsored (maybe) TV program, it is a little "sharper" than before.
BTW I think Buemi, Kobayashi, and Conway are currently fastest of the team so they should drive the same car. |

'Sharper', such an ambiguous term! Who knows exactly what he is meaning. Looking forward to it of course. I wonder if the driver lineup will shuffle like you suggest Hiro.

I think they shouldn't put all their fastest drivers in one car. Just look at what happened last year to the #5.

Well the #5 just had terrible luck, not really bad driving.

Yeah, that's the reason why they should spread their fastest drivers between the two cars, so that both have a chance if either one of them falters.

Wait till you see Pechito driving that car before you decide who are the fastest

If he's as quick as rumored and has Kobayashi in the car with him, that's going to be a great car no matter who else is in it. I think we already know that there will be a single Japanese driver in each car, so we can eliminate Nakajima and Kobayashi together

Conway is mega quick as witnessed at Le Mans last year as well, he just erratic at times. No slow drivers in any of the P1-Hybrid cars for that matter.

So more aesthetics would be a welcome form the monstrosities we've been used to lately. I know the argument over form over function but i dont care. it's like trying to pick the best turd. |

Yes! Great news, finally 3 cars for Spa and Le Mans http://toyotagazooracing.com/release...r/0202-01.html. Jose Maria Lopez replaces Sarrazin in the #6, while he moves to the third car.

Best wishes for Toyota, this time must to be THE right time. I hope to see Jose Lopez doing a good role. I know he is very fast and professional, but who knows which role his car must play. His lack of experience with these kind of cars should have some weight.

Now the question is. Whom will be at the third car with Sarrazin? Derani? Button? Tréluyer?
