Thanks From a Canadian
I have been asked by a friend in Canada, also a marshal/senior official, to pass this on to the person concerned at Brands Hatch. If you are/know this person please accept/pass this on!
Yesterday/Today at Brands Hatch, an MSA Incident Officer put out a fire in a Team Canada car at the FFF. From Team Canada and the team's fans, please find that IO and pass along our appreciation and thanks for the quick action. The cause of the fire was a failed fuel pump, and because of the quick action by the IO, the car was able to be repaired and continue competing. Many thanks! |

If that was yesterday 24th Oct, that was a member of the MSV Brands Hatch staff. But he will be pleased that you are happy with the service.

I wondered as much at the timings given. But as racing was mentioned it confused simple old me! There is a pic of the fella concerned in the marshals the orange army group on Facebook.

It was test day, and I assume, they mean it can keep racing not just a right-off.

The guy with the extinguisher is Andy Lyle, MSVR Rescue crew chief and grid girl organiser, amongst many other talents.
