WENDY WOOLS MEMORIES

I seem to recall someone mentioning recently the famous Cat in a Crash Helmet badge we all had on our cars in the seventies, when we raced in the Wendy Wools Championship.
Well, I found my old overall badge, and thought you'd like to see what it looked like.
Happy memories for us old uns.

I like the trophies behind, they seem to be made of decent stuff, not like the crap we get palmed off with now.

A mate of mine used to race in that series in an Imp. It was a brilliant series that a lot of racers cut there teeth in. But all good things come to an end.

I seem to remember that Wendy Wools was owned by Peter Griffin, who I marshalled with on occasions at Oulton, and he became a senior official with the BARC. He was a real gentleman.
