Thanks for that Big Andy, I couldn't make out what car it was.Lost programs when I moved sorry.
I think it was Bill Cox's Capri, but I don't know engine size.
Can't see any white Escorts on photos.

Definately not Barry Barnes Dan, I knew him quite well ,In my time he raced an escort i think , i know he had another stint at saloons a lot later 90s ? but definately not him in photo. Is he still with us, i heard he wasnt well some years ago?

Little tale about the original ex Mick Hill 'Boss Capri' for you that might amuse...I helped prepare the car when Tony Strawson owned and raced it, and one day we were at Silverstone practicing for the weekends Super Saloon race. On the entry list was a stranger with a 7 litre Boss Mustang, which tickled ole Strawb'...because it was just some chap assuming he would blow everyone away with his 427 cubic inches of Shiny Street Machine! HAHAHAHA....needless to say he packed up and drove home straight after practice never to be seen again!

Yes, it's Bill Cox. I always thought that car slowly developed using scrap yard bits. I think it started off with a 6 litre Chrysler engine.

The number 79 is no way david hall as he only run in a light blue with st davids cross on the roof plus the rear arch bump is to big for his car ,nice car

Hey thanks for that. Do you know if it has survived? Is it the same car as raced by Martin Birrane?

My Special Saloon car photos

Now I've retired, I have the time to scan my racing photos from the past 40-odd years. My Special Saloon car photos will follow.
First one is from Brands Hatch on 27 September 1970, and the first racing photo I ever took (with my mom's Brownie Reflex camera!) - I promise they improve over the years that follow.

#126 John Bloomfield - Escort RS1600
#123 Colin Hawker - Escort V6
Race was won by Brian Muir in his Camaro
