As far as I know, Motors TV uses Speed's TV feed, so expect it to be same day tape delayed as per Speed.

Yes, and as usual one week later (with the exception of the 2-3 live races)...

The one week delay is really a waste of time - I watched very few races last year whereas when they were live or next day I watched all of them.

Same for me, since they started delaying them a week, i have only ever watched the 2 live races, and listen to radio le mans for the rest.

Interesting, that entry list has the #55 listed as Tucker/BouchutTBD. Since this race conflicts with the first round of the FIA-GT World Championship, is there some doubt as to where Bouchut will be for the Weekend?

BMW to get a 30kg weight increase to equalize GT2. Ouch.

Is that based on Sebring qualifying times? Seems that during the race the Ferrari was consistently the fastest GT2 car on the track with the Porsches and Vettes right there as well.

arakis has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
from what i read at e-i bmws in ALMS are runing under some gt2s rules while the lms ones are running under full gt2 regs, so ii guess the 30kg are justified!!

btw corvettes gto a 25kg also, now that i don't get

so now its Porsche, Ferrari 1245, Corvette 1270, and BMW 1275

There is only one (1) GT-2 class in the ALMS!

Can't wait, should be a good race. ****ed that the FLM cars didn't get a bigger air restrictor. Next year I should be at the race.

I know that, but dirk werrner in an interview to e-i said this:
"Celle qui court en ALMS a été construite selon le règlement GT2S. Celle qui est présente ici l'a été selon le règlement GT2 de l'ACO. Tout est un peu différent, que ce soit au niveau des suspensions ou de l'aéro" -endurance-info.com

or in english-or at least what google thinks is english

The running in the ALMS has been built according to the rules GT2S. The one presented here has been under Regulation GT2 COA.

my guess is gt2s rules are from vln and the alms cars are modified vln cars while the LMS crs are fully ACO

There has not been provisions/rules for GT2S for a couple of years now in the ALMS.

HORNDAWG you are the resident corrvete specialist, do you have any idea why the corvettes were given 25kg!

Not for certain, yet. But I would assume it is in response to certain high pitched assignations pointed to its supposed performance potential.

GT2S was created by ALMS. Has nothing to do with VLN.

From what I can tell, GT2S was originally supposed to be a sport sedan class, but only two PTG BMW M3s ran in the class in '06. It was expanded in '07 to make room for the Viper Competition Coupe, the Ford GT, and the LG Corvette(basically up-rated GT3 and World Challenge cars), but was fully merged into GT2 early in '08, instead of the semi-autonomus classifcation it had in '06/'07.

The Riley built (LG) Corvette was a full blown GT2 car.
