NOTE: Weepers on the Iowa track yesterday forced cancellation of quals. When this happens, the IRL takes entrant points to set the field. I use that grid to set my contest. For speeds, I look at te combined practice results for those and also the fast lap driver is the guy who turned the single fastest lap in any session.

Here are the results, based on those criteria.

No one had helio on the pole.

drewdawg was clostest to the speed: Speed-182.031 drrew-182.000

OpenWheel had dario for the Fast lap for 2 pts.

drdisque was closest to teh Fast Lap Speed: Speed-182.031 dr-181.705

In the Top Six, OpenWheel & Flyin Ryan had 6 pts each, Peno & NAC had 4 pts, and all others had 5 pts each.

Everyone picked Lazier as the slow driver (surprise!) for 2 pts.

Flyin Ryan was closest to the slow speed; Speed-173.868 FR-175.000

No one had Kanaan as the "Just Miss," but OpenWheel, Peno and AlwaysFirst had drivers in that spot who made the Top Six to earn 1 pt. each.

Results of Quals picks:

1. drewdawg - 9 pts.
(tie) OpenWheel - 9 pts.
(tie) drdisque - 9 pts.
4. Flyin Rya - 8 pts.
(tie) AlwaysFirst - 8 pts.
6. peno - 7 pts.
7. NAC - 6 pts.

Good luck today!...Let's hope they don't get rained out!
