Hedging their bets
Was Ferrari hedging their bet by putting Rubens on a 2 stop strategy?
I just felt it coming yesterday. Rubens was more or less on pace Friday. In qualifying, he had dropped off the pace just enough to suggest the possibility of harder tires and more fuel. Then Ross commented that they didn't think they would take pole and weren't certain of getting a front row slot . . . It smacked of one or both Ferrari on a 2 stop, or perhaps a long first stint. I sure am glad it worked out.

Yes, it was quite possibly the case. Or maybe they want to see how good the car is on a higher fuel load.

at this moment i think any strategy Ferrari play they will win...
unless they make some pitstop blunder like with Barrichello in Spain... which is highly unlikely just read Sam Michael's comments on f1-live and he says he expects another Ferrari win at Monaco... not to positive from supposedly the MAIN challenger... |

Williams the main challenger? Doesn't look like it!
Button will win at Monaco. If he gets pole, that is. Remember how good he was last year before the shunt. |
