As I said previously... The models are based on the cars that appeared at the Media day!
So technically, No. But like most cars during the season, sponsors are added and changed. Some, like the Astra of 2001, even changed the colour of the car for the last round!

I have chosen my BMW to represent a race car during the season, as will my 2008 and 2009 cars. There is nothing wrong with having the model as it is.

I still have one or two that i feel the need to own, most notably the 1994 Alfa Romeo 155 driven by Tarquini, a few have come up for auction on eBay in recent weeks, i have wathced them all, even bid on a few, but i had set myself a reasonable limit to what i would pay, and was outdone each time. I have the Simoni Alfa, but the Tarquini car would pretty much cap my list of cars still to collect. I would like a few of the kits that were produced too, but i wouldn't have the skill to build them myself. [/QUOTE]

Wow, its been two years since i last posted on this forum, had an email refering to a reply in a thread i posted in many moons ago, then i thought why not check this old thread out too, just been trawling through the whole of this thread and then came upon my quote above. Last week i finally ended my Tarquini Alfa hunt, managed to buy one from eBay, and for a slightly bargain price of only 34 pounds, pretty chuffed with that.

Anyway, my list has progressed somewhat in my two year absence, still collecting, but as i have been close to completing my list i obviously have not bought as many recently as i had in the past, i just need four Onyx supertourers to complete that section of my list.

1998 Peugoet 406, Watts
1998 Nissan Primera, Leslie
1998 Volvo s40, Morbidelli
1999 Volvo s40, Radermacker

If anyone can help, then please feel free to pm me.

I also have a full list of my collection, should anyone be interested, its probably too large to post here though.

Oh, i have just seen that a guy on eBay is now selling the two new HPI 1994 Alfas, £39.99.

I presume the Volvo 850 estates cant be far away? i will have to try and get the Rydell one, to replace my Motorart version.

Last time I saw a Minichamps Volvo 850 estate for sale was on a stand at Silverstone Classic and priced at £90. Needless to say I didn't buy.

I know what you mean, i have the minichamps Lammers version, bought it from eBay a while ago, i think i had to pay a bit for it, although i cant remember exactly how much, its been in my collection for awhile now. I also have the Rydell estate, made by Motorart, but its not in the same league as a Minichamps model.

I believe that HPI are also going to make the 1994 Volvo 850 estate, Lammers and Rydell. Saw a link on another motorsport forum a few months ago, and now the Alfa is on eBay i pressume the Volvo cant be far away either.

Matt Jackson 1:18 BMW on ebay:

Going back to the Volvos - a Minichamps estate went for £80+ last week (last couple of weeks anyway).

That Jackson BMW is nice, not seen one of those before. Anyone else here waiting on the Auto Art BTCC Volvo 850 models? The road cars have started coming through, so I'm hoping the race versions aren't too far away now. Might be slightly optimistic given the usual leadtimes from Auto Art, after all they were only announced at the start of 2008!

I was waiting on the HPI Volvos (Minichamps way too expensive), I didn't know Autoart were releasing them as well.

£55 at the moment! You wait, plenty of time left.

From memory, the last one went for £102. A certain Team Halfords driver bought it if i'm not mistaken?

I remembered that from my Ford 200 BTCC wins poster. Just checked it and it was driven by Andy Rouse in 1981. Car number 6, won at Mallory Park and Silverstone in early 81.

Edit: this post helped confirm it too. http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....4&postcount=14

I have been searching for a 96-98 spec Ford Mondeo BTCC for years but no joy. I'd pay good money for one too, and a commission even.

The ONLY place that makes a BTCC Mondeo, is from the 2000 season.

Click on the link.. Pick 'Model cars', then '1/43' then Choose 'FORD'!
Three versions listed. Kit, Painted kit and Built. NOT CHEAP.

But , as you say, nothing between 1996 and 1998.

What models in particular are you after?

I won, with seconds to go. I upped my max bid from £100 to £110 with just a couple of minutes to go and I eventually won it at £103

Thats a dedicated model collector there in Alfa Fan, even i wouldn't be prepared to spend £103 on a model.

Unless it was a 95 John Cleland Cavalier

Not cheap, as you say. Worse it is highly inaccurate and should be avoided if you like any degree of accuracy in your collection. Shame.

I remember when someone by the name of PaulG was advertising this on a forum a few years ago, and the discussion was about how awful it looks. For £100 it really is bad.
