Who are the 5th best team?
Behind Ferrari, BAR, Rneault and Williams the battle is quite intense. McLaren coming up with (by their stndards) a turkey has given the other teams a chance to challenge for 5th. Toyota have a new car coming for Monaco which is said to be a big improvement, Sauber and consistant, and Jaguar have all the threads of a good season, they just need ot pull them together. So who will take 5th in the COnstructor's table?

McLaren - they have the financial clout and the facilities to make up some of the lost ground (assuming that the Merc stops detonating).

McLaren. Maybe not at the minute, but watch them, climb as the season wears on.

McLaren - assuming they drop out of 5th place in the near future they should gain it back by the end of the season (perhaps when the revised car comes out) but by then Renault, BAR and Williams will be out of reach in the CC - never mind Ferrari.

Who's to say that McLaren will not soon hit the mark and overtake the 4th place team - Williams?

McLaren are the fifth best team just now - the points table doesn't lie.

Jaguar are very poor, one qualifying aside. Sauber were pretty good last time when their tyres were the ones to have but otherwise no better.
Toyota will probably get there but probably not soon. So - McLaren. For 5th position that is. I'm not sure who is the fifth best team. Last edited by santori; 13 May 2004 at 19:23. |

I refuse to believe that Mclaren will not regain form before the end of the year. They have had an uncharacteristically bad start, but the new car may well ne super quick.

Definitely McLaren?
Don K BAR is the 5th team in your opinion? Do you mean that McLaren will end up top 4 en BAR has had his best already? |

And I expect BAR to drop slightly during the season (that is, relative to Williams and Renault). Don't know whether or not BAR would drop out of the top 4, but I thought saying "BAR" would be the shortest possible way to summarize this. |

I voted McLaren simply because of their budget.
