It isn't a GT1 car as if it was it wouldn't be allowed to enter the VLN series as GT1 spec cars are not allowed, it wont be that much faster than the F430 GT2.

So does anyone know exactly what Patrick Long did to ruin Porsche's chance? Are there any videos that show what happened since the video showing the 2 Porsches running into the gravel pits was quite useless to determine anything.

PS: I forgot to congratulate Ferrari for easily winning the GT-class with their F400GT cars.

Tried to pass on the inside at Indianapolis and made contact with the right rear of Nieman and sent them both flying off the track.

Thanks, NightStalk3r It's ashame that Long did such a "gutsy" move even in such a long 24 hour race, and his "apology" to the Flying Lizard team was hardly any consolation.

It'd have been appropriate if Long took out another Ferrari, but doing what he did (taking out his and another Porsche) can be deemed as a crime punishable by death in some other less civilised countries.

I totally sympathize with whoever that is mad at Patrick Long and wants his face smashed in. With a driver of his caliber, what he did was unforgivable. Obviously, "human makes mistakes" but there are some "mistakes" that someone as professional as Long is (or "was" after what he did) shouldn't have made.

What really gets me was when Long was interviewed after the crash, and he was all smiling and giddy, passing off as if what he did was nothing or the usual BS "well that's racing, man" attitude. The lack of remorse shown on his face was what ****** me off, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

At least when Melo had that crash at Sebring, he did showed (on his face and from his words) that he was really in the wrong and was truly sorry about the whole thing. That alone can be respected at the very least.

Thankyou for posting the photos Ebi!!
I notice the letters VLN in that article, if that is the VLN Ferrari then yes it would not be GT1 spec, think more of GT2 with a little bit more like the Porsche RSRs that you see in the VLN. It would be awesome to have Ferrari back in GT1-new regs 599 anyone??

Oh and ah Badger, Ferrari 'cocked up' so bad they beat Porsche at Le Mans to GT2 glory, regardless of who crashed into who.....................

Badger: I agree, that was hardly a "race." In 2007, however, that was a great race no matter the victor. Same can be said for this and last year's Sebring 12 hours.

Why Porsche has been disqualified just in Italy, thanks to an italian marshal?
And why Porsche was disqualified, at the end of the Monza round (in Italy, too)?
FIA's court of appeal, has punished AF Corse to have reported Prospeed, causing the disqualification f the belgian team.
I'm sure there's someone who is interested to win at every cost the FIA GT, avoiding the Porsche could be a menace for someone...
Three signs make a test. I'm sure someone is trying to win against the Porsche, with whatever mean.
