rallycrosscraig has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
does anyone know how bumpy the circuit will be compared to last event, has it been graded?

Hope so ! Like needs a good base to start with! Not just pull a loose surface over deturfed area!!!
Great track though when surface settles down

'unforeseen track license issues' again? or just lack of entry's?

A shame, even though we had no intentions of going. Everyone wanted a proper winter series for years, and now there is one it seems nobody is entering

Hopefully 'Round 3' or should that just be BTRDA round 1 will go ahead, but for some reason I have my doubts.

a great shame that this is cancelled, and appreciate Fay giving us the info so quickly.

Shame that LHMC is still promoting the event on their web site and haven't rushed onto 10ths or their own site to give notice and to explain what the problem is this time.

A check on Mallory's site doesn't note the cancellation, but has a full calendar listing that doesn't include this event any more.

LHMC has not officially released a PR regarding the cancellation as the participating drivers were to be informed out of coutesy before any announcement was made.

The track has had to undergo major refurbishment and it was decided by LHMC and Mallory to cancel the meeting to allow the work to be completed without being rushed.

Unfortunately Mallory Park has suffered the same weather damage as Lydden, this is unfortunatly out of our control.

LHMC apologises for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Round 1 of the BTRDA/MDA championship will be going ahead as scheduled on March 6th.

Slight difference........... do these all use the loose sections then? That's obviously where Lydden is going wrong!!!

All joking aside, for those of you who obviously don't know, it is the loose sections that have been affected.

If i was trying to be funny ! I would say lets have a "pot hole filling championship" to pass the time away !!!!

Just think there could be several classes!

Class Super filler/roller This class has many holding spare spades/shovels whilst the operater(star driver) drives his CAT! and of course all have 2 way radios!

Class Local Highways. As it sounds open to all local highway depts !Brings in much needed entries and good returns for the burger /tea vans !! as Like sfr has many in each team but only 1 can work and other team mates watch!

Class DIY spade . This class is an important class as it opens up to the mass's and has got a sponsor who gives something away!and costs very little to compete in!!! ok thats a fantisy!!

Ok im bored hehe :-)

Well done to LHMC & Mallory in making this decision ..... There are experienced people looking at the condition of the loose track surface both at Lydden & Mallory and if they didnt look at this closely competitors would go to the event damage there cars and then moan about the state of the track ...... and then not return ..... so give LHMC some credit.
Yeah we are all disappointed but thats life.
Roll on March 6th at Lydden ...

It seems to me that COMPETITORS!!are just not bothered about doing winter events. I wonder just how many entries there were for this event, even Mondello has a poor entry by their standards (and they dont race in the summer!!).

Well we ARE bothered!! Our car is still being worked on ready for the new season. This has taken much longer than we would like! This is mainly down to the economic situation rather than not wanting to compete. If we had sponsorship we would certainly be doing all the racing we could. I know its a disappointment to all but we are all unhappy that the weather has taken its toll on circuits but at the end of the day safety must come first. As a personal note this gives us more time to finish the car ready for March. See you all then
