Yes, 5x Triple Eight-built cars is my understanding.

I also understand that the JFS chassis was not completed for LDM, but retained by the constructor and eventually finished off for Erebus as the #9 car.

Crowd only 1.5k down on 2016 figures not too bad when considering how dismal the whether forecast was for this weekend. That would've put a lot of people off which is unfortunate they would've smashed that figure I would've thought

Jason Bright is the first casualty of the race, he slipped off on dry tires at the final corner and hit the wall head on somehow (we haven't seen a replay yet.)

A replay was shown (hard hit too, the car got off the ground) and I guess that must have been what happened. Either that or he slipped off the road further back and wasn't able to slow down much.

Looks like your right his account seems to be he hit a wet patch and lost control ended up in the grass and had no control for their

What's with the dam timed finishes? Shouldn't be needed these days with Foxtel! Start the race 1/2 hour earlier.
If it finishes earlier, then Crompo and Skaify get more airtime to argue over who loves Lowndes more. Win, win....

It was time-certain to approx 3:30pm AEDST.

Which is at odds to yesterday's cut-off of approx 5:40.

I can't see it being a TV issue, when there was about half hour of waffle, once the race was done. 9 laps short, so ~15mins to complete the race, and get everything processed. Some leeway could've been built into the supplementary and schedule, but alas, we as fans were robbed of a potentially better finish, with several cars moving up through the field at the time.

Given how quick Penske Fords are every weekend, I suspect they will fight with 888 for this year's title. I'm a bit surprised however that Scotty McLaughlin is consistently behind Coulthard. I expected him to do much better than Fabian.
